Location: Beijing - Nanluoguxiang. Travel notes: Nanluoguxiang, Houhai Bar Street, Wonderwall Bar. Tonight, I booked a hotel in Nanluoguxiang on Elong called Lü Song Yuan, hidden in a hutong, converted from part of the former Prince Senggelinqin's mansion. Though the single room was a bit small, staying there had a lot of character. Later, I took a walk around Shichahai. It's been years since I last visited Nanluoguxiang and Houhai—time flies! Now there are many more shops and it's livelier. I spontaneously met up with Xiao Bu, who works in Beijing's Financial Street. He was kind enough to take a taxi all the way from Xicheng District to the east. We met at a bar in Nanluoguxiang. Even though it was -6°C outside and my hands and feet were freezing, having a drink and chatting about familiar things with an old colleague from Taiwan quickly warmed me up.
