Travel note summary: First time going out in two weeks since returning to Taichung—talk about being a homebody! Went to Brother Gong's place for drinks, just the two of us catching up. He ordered delivery from a newly opened Spanish restaurant nearby (DNA), costing over 4,000 NTD after discount. We drank his collection of 10-20 year old South African and French red wines, moved on to Japanese Dassai Daiginjo sake, then to an Argentine red wine someone gave him, and finally finished off two bottles of Canadian ice wine. We probably killed off all the viruses with that! Chatted with Brother Gong about the volatile market lately, covering stocks, futures, options, and cryptocurrencies. He's a veteran Bitcoin player who bought a bunch of mining rigs years ago. So I asked his opinion on Ramen Senior's recent idea for a crypto product.
