Travel Notes Summary: Taichung Qizhi District Huilai Road Civic Wine Cellar. Today, I researched the MLP model (Multilayer Perceptron) related to neural networks in Tensorflow all day. In the evening, with Brother Gong and Steven, came to the Civic Wine Cellar, which is diagonally across from the CRU wine cellar we visited last Friday. The style of this shop is completely different from CRU, with minimal decoration and emphasis on the wine itself. The shop is very quiet, and non-regulars probably wouldn't easily walk in. Plus, the second-floor balcony allows you to enjoy the breeze and view the Qizhi District nightscape, giving it a private wine cellar vibe. Sarah, who serves as a consultant in the shop, grew up abroad. As the Asian regional general agent for many major European wineries, she has the power to allocate quotas for many special wines. Well-traveled Sarah can chat with Steven about various cigars, with me about our experiences visiting North Korea, with Brother Gong about many construction company bosses they both know, or about one of her clients, the boss of Largan Precision and his circle of friends.…
