Travel note: Taichung, Xiangshang North Road, Akita Kasa Izakaya. After a full day of classes, I was feeling a bit thirsty. John happened to be back in Taichung from Hsinchu, so he invited me and Qibin out for a drink. We came to Xiangshang North Road, a hub for izakayas in Taichung. The food quality and value for money here are pretty good. Qibin brought some whiskey his Japanese friend recently sent to Taiwan. We ordered dishes like Japanese sea urchin and Kumamoto oysters, along with various drinks like sake, plum wine, and junmai ginjo. The three of us spent over 7,000 NTD in total.
