Travel note summary: Today, Sister Liu and Jinzhen (Ethan's wife) came down from Taipei to Taichung to have dinner and drinks with me. After some research, we decided to meet at this bar in the alley next to Guang San Sogo. The interior has a One Piece pirate theme. What's unique is that the first floor is a café during the day, and when the second-floor bar opens at night, the entire first floor becomes purely decorative. Walking into the first floor at night, it was completely empty. You have to ring a bell, and someone comes out from behind a door to lead you up to the mysterious second-floor space. The bar offers many creative cocktails. The one I ordered, called 'Magic Lamp,' is made with Oriental Beauty tea, vodka, and roselle, served in a magic lamp-shaped glass with a smoking effect—quite a visual impact.
