Travel note summary: My uncle Shi-Huan started as a manager at this restaurant late last year. It's quite historic in Taichung, open for many years (originally near Chaoma, where many locals remember the Mongolian yurts). After a change in ownership, the management has been revitalized. This Lunar New Year, our whole family, my uncle's family, and grandma had lunch there on New Year's Day. While most dishes in the photo were special holiday items, signature dishes like roasted lamb leg and Gobi skewered lamb are on the regular menu. The lamb dishes are distinctive and tasty, based on my experience dining at various restaurants, including ones in mainland China.
