The owner, a former track and field coach, teamed up with a group of his students to open this restaurant after retiring from coaching. Because my friend's father is acquainted with the owner, besides enjoying the meal, I was happy to learn more about the story behind the restaurant. Unfortunately, the premium eel rice was sold out, so I had to order the large eel rice ($250) plus a bowl of eel liver soup ($80).
