Travel Notes: In the evening, I attended a year-end party for a project Pat invested in. Pat was busy in Taipei, so he asked me to fill in. The venue had over 400 people, very lively. Our table was quite lucky—almost everyone won cash or prizes, and I even got $20 USD. Among the attendees were Brother Gu, who invests in various ventures (TV shopping, hospitals...), including a resort opening tomorrow in Taichung's Xinshe; an elderly gentleman who served five terms as a legislator in Hong Kong and invests in real estate development in Tamsui, Taiwan; Jack, who runs chain ganbanyoku spa stores in Taipei and Taichung; and Sister Wang, whose son is an executive in Shanghai... Here, as the little brother, I didn't know how to introduce myself, so I just filled my glass and toasted everyone with red wine. :P By Morgan @2021.12.18 evening
