Location: Taichung, Municipal North 3rd Road, Liyun SAKE LA VIE
Travel note summary: At Liyun SAKE LA VIE, a sake specialty shop in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, I enjoyed sake with senior Dade from Taichung First Senior High School, Qibin, Steven, and Brother Gong. We tried two types: one from Watanabe Brewery made with Yamada Nishiki rice (polishing ratio 35%), and a Junmai Daiginjo from Hinode Tsuru (polishing ratio 50%), both starting dry and finishing sweet. Senior Dade's knowledge of alcohol is as impressive as his expertise in law—I learned so much from him. He had just attended a wine tasting at FReNCHIE Hotel with 20 Burgundy wines, taking detailed notes, which shows his genuine passion for tasting. XD The shop owner even treated us to 1–2 glasses of Kyoto's Nishijin Ori Red Belt whisky, which even Brother Gong, who drinks whisky like water, praised. Thanks to Senior Dade for hosting! After he left, we moved next door to Golden Cellar for another round, opening a slightly sweet Spanish red wine. Cheers~ :) By Morgan @evening of 2023.9.16 #GoldenCellar #Liyun
