Travel note summary: Yesterday in Taipei, I met the founder of the single-investment platform SoFinX, Kai-Yi (OTSO Fintech Heisen Tech). Taiwan is small—Kai-Yi is also an alumnus from the National Cheng Kung University graduate institute. His platform now handles over $2 billion in monthly transactions, growing rapidly. Tonight back in Taichung for a company dinner with Brother Gong, we ate and drank beer until we were stuffed. Afterward, with badminton coach Sheng-Xuan (who started his own equipment brand), Xiao Ye, and A-Tian, the four of us went singing, drinking, and playing games.
