Travel note summary: Since returning to Taichung, I've been quite lazy and haven't traveled to other counties, so I've had to trouble various friends to come visit me in Taichung. Today, Brother Jiajie from the construction industry came all the way from Taipei to see me, asking for advice on algorithmic trading. He treated me to this recently popular spot that's about to go public. Since Brother Jiajie rarely visits Taichung, I invited Brother Kevin, also in construction, for a second round. So we headed to Wanban Bar on Zhongqing Road. Taiwan is so small—Brother Jiajie and Xiao Wan, who came with Kevin, turned out to be colleagues from a sales agency over a decade ago. He was also quite close with the late Bai Wenzheng from Polaris and with Qiu Fucheng's son. After the second round, we continued to a third at Kevin's company in Shuinan. Thanks to Alex for bringing two bottles of white wine and a bottle of Dassai Daiginjo from Taipei. When you meet a true friend, a thousand cups are not enough—Cheers! By Morgan @2020.9.13 evening
