Travel note summary: My junior high school classmate from Weidao, Xinming, recently bought a new car and went to see another classmate, Shengyan, to upgrade to better rims. While waiting, he spontaneously made time to meet other classmates for coffee. Besides me, he also invited Jiezhi to come along. Jiezhi rushed over after finishing up with his new house renovations. I really hadn't seen Xinming since graduation—it's been over 25 years. He recently bought a new house near Qiuhong Valley, so meeting in the 7th Redevelopment Zone was more convenient for everyone. Besides handling his family's plastic container business, Xinming also helps with his wife's family's musical instrument export trade. He used to travel or be stationed abroad frequently, seeing the world. Although the pandemic has kept everyone from moving around this year, it反而 provided a chance to reunite in Taiwan, especially in Taichung. This was an unexpected缘分 (fate/connection).
