Travel note summary: A decade in the making, this courtyard was built with an investment of 200 million by CEO Wei of the Maye餐饮 Group, which also runs brands like One Cow and Badou Shifu in Taichung. Ms. Wei is also a student of the renowned chef André Chiang. Tonight, thanks to Steven's close relationship with Ms. Wei's brother, Steven and his wife invited Brother Gong and me for dinner here. We started by admiring the mountain mist and sunset in the evening, then enjoyed a variety of creative and fresh delicacies after being seated. Paired with the Gishu Junmai Ginjo sake wrapped in Japanese newspaper, and ending upstairs in the tea lounge with the lingering aroma of white tea from Pinglin. Over five hours, we savored not just the atmosphere and experience, but also found the presentation and cooking of the ingredients to be the perfect finishing touch. Ms. Wei also came by to greet us warmly during the meal. Overall satisfaction made it feel on par with some Michelin-starred restaurants. Tonight's per-person cost was about $5,000.
