Location: Taichung, Hongpin Steakhouse
Travel note: Met up with my junior high school classmate Jiezhi from Weidao and senior Vincent from Taichung First Senior High School for lunch. It's been two years since the three of us last met. Hongpin has a 50-year history and is known as Taiwan's first high-end traditional steakhouse. Senior shared anecdotes about recently acquiring many paintings by a Jewish artist and auctioning them at Sotheby's, while my classmate talked about his trading profits and system planning projects. Exchanging ideas across different fields, yet rooted in financial supply and demand, sparked new thoughts.
