Location: Yang Mama Tachigui Japanese Cuisine, Second Market, Taichung
Travel note summary: Today at noon, ATTILA senior Zhihao invited me for a meal, so we came to the Second Market on Sanmin Road to find food. Like E Fang Gong, Yang Mama is a famous Japanese restaurant located inside a traditional Taichung market. It used to be standing-only (tachigui), but now there are seats available. We ordered two set meals for two people, plus some sashimi of bluefin tuna and summer yellowtail. The per-person cost was around a thousand NTD, and the fish soup was refillable. The freshness of the ingredients and the cooking methods were pretty good. Thanks for the treat, senior! :) After eating, we made our way to the Fifth Market on Daming Street, where there's an old-fashioned shaved ice place that the senior likes. We chatted about the dishes he's been cooking at home recently and the joys and challenges of raising his twin children. Time flew by, and before we knew it, it was almost dusk! @@ By Morgan @2020.6.2
