Travel Notes: Last weekend back in Taichung, my mom happened to have a discount coupon for Misacun, so Morgan drove my dad and mom to this somewhat famous restaurant in Taichung. The dining style is all-you-can-eat, and there's an outdoor garden for a stroll. Besides the salad bar in the middle of the hall, other dishes are served tableside, somewhat similar to Hong Kong-style dim sum. Servants bring cooked dishes on plates to your side and ask if you want them; if yes, they leave them. The variety of dishes is quite good: fried pork intestine, Five-Spice Pork Intestine with Blood Cake, German pork knuckle, stir-fried shrimp, grilled icefish, Peking duck, Kung Pao chicken, stewed chicken soup, etc., plus cold and hot dishes at the bar, cocktails, cakes, drinks, ice cream, fruit... The selection is relatively rich. However, in terms of food quality, only less than half of the dishes could be considered satisfactory.
