Travel note summary: Had dinner in the evening with Mengsheng and his colleagues. We came to this famous hot pot restaurant in Taichung—it was my first time at the Wenxin branch. Mengsheng was amazed by the extravagance of Taichung restaurants; for just over three hundred per person, the decor was absolutely stunning. Besides chatting about his jewelry and forex trading, I also talked with him about his long-time study of Zi Wei Dou Shu (Chinese astrology). Then, when it came to gemstones, Mengsheng happened to mention Ruili on the China-Myanmar border, which reminded me of my visit there last October. I recalled seeing many roadside jade gambling scenes... Meeting Mengsheng again after over six years—the connections between people are always so奇妙.
