Location: Taichung, Mingxiong Brothers Club Gathering. Travel note: Yesterday evening, while drinking at Woof Wine in Taipei, I suddenly got a long-awaited notice from the Brothers Club. So after leaving Woof, I headed straight from Taipei to Taichung. At Zixuan's office, I met up with Yen and Maxim—four of us together. Zixuan grabbed a Cohiba Edición Limitada 2011 from his humidor for me, and Yen had his apprentice send over a six-bottle Burgundy set. We opened a 2019 Saint-Georges from Nuits-Saint-Georges to pair with the cigar, and later added a white wine from Côte de Beaune. We ate takeout and chatted until nearly 4 AM. 'In a group of three, there's always a teacher,' and with four of us tonight, I learned a lot of interesting stuff from the brothers. A rare gathering—thanks for the hospitality!
