Travel Notes: Before heading back to Taipei, I stopped by Mitsui LaLaport near Taichung Station. The South and North buildings, though not very tall, have quite a large footprint, so you can really spend a lot of time browsing. The restaurants are dazzling and packed with people—the big ones all had queues, and the food court was almost completely full. So, I found a wine merchant, Dr. Orinigs, that offered seating, brought in congee from Moon 12, and ordered a glass of Italian sparkling white wine (Bosca Asti, Moscato, Muscat grape) to pair with it. This wine had an exuberant aroma—a lunch of quiet amidst the bustle. By Morgan @2023.4.30
