At noon I came to Zhonghe, Taipei, to meet my college friend Jiajun, whom I hadn’t seen in over seven years, and we had beef noodles and a big plate of braised snacks at Qiaohezhen Beef Noodle near his office. Jiajun has been at WT Microelectronics, Taiwan’s second-largest semiconductor component distributor, since graduation and is now a department manager; he told me about his running, including a 24-hour ultramarathon where he ran 207 km from 2 p.m. to 2 p.m. the next day and placed 4th among Taiwanese participants—amazing!
