Location: Taipei, Zhongshan District, BeApe French Restaurant
Travel note: Met my good friend Sam for lunch. Remembered that KC mentioned a French restaurant while we were drinking at Ji Yue Wine Cellar, whose chef had previously worked at a Michelin one-star restaurant. Seized the opportunity to try it today. Upon entering, the renovated old house environment was eye-catching. My main course was grilled beef bone marrow with amber sauce filet mignon, while Sam ordered finger-licking fried quail. For appetizers, we had 'Sapper's Apron' (honeycomb tripe), pan-fried calf's liver, and flame-grilled fresh squid... Paired with a white wine with a hint of peach flavor. Overall, the dining experience was quite good. Over the meal, Sam updated me on the recent status of their RWA project: KulaDAO. After parting ways, I visited the National History Museum near the Presidential Office and a few museums around the Botanical Garden. Just like I enjoyed visiting museums when living in Hong Kong, it seems I've almost visited all the various museums in Taipei. @@ By Morgan @2024.5.8 #BeApe
