Travel note: Over the weekend, I spent some time studying the newly released LayerZero V2 whitepaper, which is touted as the TCP/IP protocol for blockchain. This morning, after two remote routine meetings, I got a message from my junior Rebecca about a seminar they're holding near the Far Eastern Plaza next week. Although I can't attend, I helped her connect with a few potential clients after understanding her needs. In the evening, thanks to an invitation from my junior Fisher at Palm Drive Capital, I went to Qsquare. It was a gathering of interesting and valuable friends: Patrick, the new CEO of the long-standing American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (AmCham Taiwan); Peter, who specializes in Southeast Asian industry investments; Chris, a cybersecurity expert from Singapore whose family is behind the famous Tiger Balm; and Mao, who works at Mantis, a company under his family's investments—his family is also fascinating, being a prominent clan in Taipei with an extensive art collection.
