Travel note summary: This morning, I first took Cindy to the area near the Taipei World Trade Center to meet William, one of the founders of Biwin Technology, along with their COO Nicole and one of their investors, Brother Liao. Taiwan is small—Brother Liao used to be based in Kunshan, Suzhou, working for Shinbond, a listed company specializing in electronic components and connectors. Shinbond is also related to another listed company, Youqun. So I asked about Jason, my uncle who manages the Kunshan factory for Youqun, and sure enough, they have many mutual friends spanning over 30 years, from the chairman and general manager to various executives. Afterward, we headed to Ren'ai Road for lunch with Fred, whom I was introduced to by Senior Lman and later found out Shasha also knows.
