Location: Taipei, Neihu, Ruiguang Road, Samwon Garden Korean Restaurant
Travel note summary: Samwon Garden Korean Restaurant on Ruiguang Road in Neihu, Taipei. Yesterday, I visited the Evergreen Maritime Museum. This afternoon, I met up with MFT senior Zongxian, whom I hadn't seen in over two years. He's back working at Advantech in industrial computers. His girlfriend works at the Taiwan Creative Content Agency and is super busy, meeting daily with film/TV industry folks, investors, and big shots. In the evening, I took a taxi to Neihu. Sam's family invited me to dinner and asked me to pick a restaurant. After asking what they'd like, I booked this upscale Korean BBQ place in Taipei to try. Since they've lived in the US, I thought they'd be more interested in Asian cuisine. Besides common Korean dishes, the grilled beef short ribs here are pretty good, especially wrapped in lettuce. Tonight, we paired it with a Bordeaux red, which was unexpectedly delightful—round aroma, straightforward fruitiness. The whole meal was filled with laughter, and everyone had a great time. Thanks to Sam for hosting! Cheers~ :) By Morgan @2023.6.24 evening
