Location: Taipei, Beiping-Taoranting Restaurant, Peking Duck
Travel note: Tonight was a joint dinner for three departments, with up to 23 people. The location was Taoranting, another famous Peking duck restaurant in Taipei besides Songchu and Longdu. The table was full of lavish dishes, but the main attraction was still the duck carving on the spot. Compared to Beijing's Quanjude, it's less oily, but the taste wasn't as memorable. After leaving a table full of beer (we took almost all the beer from the fridge, leaving only three bottles), as usual after the meal, we moved to Star KTV to sing and drink, also celebrating a colleague's birthday. Whiskey with Coke, poker with drinking games—we kept playing games and penalizing drinks until just now when we disbanded and I got home. Luck was on my side today—only penalized a few glasses of whiskey. Even though we already toasted a round of beer earlier, overall I'm not really drunk.
