This time it was Andy, a friend I hadn't seen in over three years, returning from Hong Kong, so we managed to meet up. Took the chance to introduce him to Sam, a veteran broker from the US (crypto custodian, AUM 200m USD), and Ethan from MatrixPort. Andy previously worked at Tencent, responsible for mergers and acquisitions, investing in global gaming companies. Now he's joined Hong Kong's EVG Group as their Global Partner in gaming and GameFi. Before returning to Taiwan this time, Andy was even invited to Saudi Arabia, riding on the sheikh's private jet to explore the local investment environment. With a friend coming from afar, I ordered a less commonly seen Orange Wine. Orange wine is a white wine but made using red wine production methods, retaining more skin flavors, hence the deeper color and a bolder taste.
