Travel note summary: In Taipei's Da'an district at NiHao Cafe Hotel. First went to Zomma in the afternoon to celebrate Tom Soong's birthday together, then headed to Da'an where Pat introduced me to his friend Arthur. Arthur previously worked at PCHome, managing the entire tech, big data, and AI teams. Even earlier, he was COO at TutorABC and often traveled to Shanghai. When we wrapped up, it was drizzling outside, so we stood at the entrance and chatted a bit more. He mentioned many of his classmates became doctors, and I said it was the same at my high school in Taichung—most chose the science-bio track, while few stayed in science-engineering. Surprisingly, Arthur said he also graduated from Taichung First Senior High School and grew up in the North District, even attending Sheng San Elementary as a kid. So I ended up reconnecting with a senior 12 years ahead of me! XD We agreed to meet up for drinks next time. :) By Morgan @2022.11.25
