Location: Taipei, Taichun Japanese Cuisine
Travel note summary: Taipei, Taichun Japanese Cuisine. One Friday night, instead of going to the fishing pond with Boss Loco, A-Le, and A-Li as usual, we changed plans and wandered around the Red House in Ximending. Ximending on a weekend night is really lively! Then we went to eat at a Japanese restaurant that stays open quite late. The charm of this place is its roadside stall-like vibe—it's next to Shuanglian Market, with no fixed dining space; customers eat in an open or semi-open environment, which feels very relaxing. This atmosphere reminded me of the famous Yamane Sushi on Minzu Road in Tainan. We ordered fried burdock, sashimi, fish soup, vinegared squid, hand rolls, dragon balls, udon, and a plate of cabbage. The food was pretty good, even the cabbage tasted sweet and fresh, and the prices were reasonable. For four people, it came to around a thousand-something NT dollars. Overall, it's a place worth bringing friends back to—no wonder the business has been thriving, even opening a new branch nearby :P. Main store address: No. 198-4, Minsheng West Road, Taipei City.
