Location: Taipei, Baoqing Street, Youjian Xiaoguan Sichuan Restaurant
Travel note summary: Dinner with Tony, Zhewei, Xiaomin & their 4-year-old daughter at this Sichuan restaurant opened by a former Kiki chef. We've known each other for almost ten years now. Back then, Tony was the head of the legal department at Uni-President where Zhewei and Xiaomin worked; we met when I opened an account there, and that connection has lasted to this day. Tony later moved to Hong Kong's SinoPac as a supervisor/RO, so before the pandemic, he'd often come to my Hong Kong place for red wine, sea views, and life chats. We'd also drive across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge on weekends, rent a sea-view Airbnb in Zhuhai, sit on the balcony zoning out, or have dim sum before evening adventures. Time flies; every moment we can gather is a precious bond. During dinner, I also passed along a Hetian jade gift from Wenpei, whom Tony had helped before. Connections and goodwill between people always keep flowing. Thanks for the treat, Tony and Zhewei! :) By Morgan @2022.9.14 night
