Location: Taipei Baoqing Street - Dark Horse Kitchen
Travel note summary: To avoid the rain, I ducked into this small shop with a Google rating of 4.6. There weren't many seats inside, but business was good; all the square tables were taken, so I chose one of the few remaining bar seats. Looking up, I saw one of the dishes written on the blackboard: 'Jump into the Roman's Mouth' (saltimbocca alla Romana). I was very curious and asked about it—turns out it's an Italian dish made by wrapping and pan-frying meat cutlets with sage and ham. Of course, I had to try a dish I'd never had before, so I ordered it. When it arrived, it smelled quite fragrant and had a rich flavor. I also ordered a glass of Australian red wine to pair with the meal and cut through the richness. A simple dinner on a rainy night. By Morgan @2024.5.23 evening
