Travel note summary: Schumann's Bistro No. 6 Nanjing Store near Taipei Arena Station. Senior Lman and his German friend Robin invited me to join them for dinner. Robin previously studied at NTU's Industrial Engineering Graduate Institute and worked at Mercedes-Benz. Now he has founded two companies related to cloud computing and AI. He's back in Taiwan for a visit and will stay for three weeks. Chatted with Robin about facility planning, operations research (OR), and queue series problems. Senior Lman explored whether Robin could help connect the Ministry of Digital Affairs with Germany. The German pork knuckle here is pretty good—crispy skin with mustard.
