Travel Notes: This is the 10th Taipei wine bar I've visited in 16 days. I feel like I'm trying really hard to explore these places, but there's always more to discover. This spot used to be Glassmate, which I'd been to before. The owner here, Zeng Sihao, takes on the role of floor sommelier. He's won the title of 'Taiwan's Best French Wine Sommelier' and was formerly the head sommelier at Park 90. His wife, Italian chef Marta, handles the food. The dishes are delicious and the wine is great, so there are quite a few foreigners here. Sihao recommended many interesting wines: besides an Austrian blended white and a red from Corsica, France, we also tried an ancient Greek retsina wine, which had a strong pine resin flavor upon tasting—very unique.
