Location: Taipei, Zhang Ji Guo Tie
Travel note: After buying shoes at Taipei's shoe street - Yuanling Street in the evening, I wanted to find something to eat but didn't know what. So I wandered aimlessly. Suddenly looking back, I saw a light in an alley. Following my intuition, I walked in. At the end, on the right appeared a Guo Tie (potstickers) and beef noodle shop, with the name 'Zhang Ji' written above. The shopfront was small and unremarkable, but looking inside, it was packed, almost full. Out of curiosity, I was drawn in and ordered some potstickers to try. After waiting a moment at my seat, a steaming plate of potstickers arrived. Already a bit hungry, I couldn't wait to pick one up and pop it in my mouth. The freshness of the minced meat filling, with a touch of sweetness from the chives, paired with the golden crispy bottom, made me quickly finish the whole plate. It's a good shop in an alley. Next time, I'll try their dumplings or beef noodles~ :) Zhang Ji Guo Tie Address: Inside the alley of Lane 101, Yanping South Road, Taipei (but actually easier to find by entering from the alley next to No. 85 or 87 Hengyang Road) By Morgan on the evening of May 26, 2014.
