The 'Huijin Taiwan' and TIC (Wandering to Central) groups are professional networks for Taiwanese finance professionals working in China and Hong Kong. Today's event was mainly attended by members of these groups, celebrating the newly established Baodao Taiwan spring banquet, initiated by Teacher Li Jigang. On this day when the Taiwan stock index hit a historic high, nearly 50 financial talents from across the strait gathered. Upon arrival, I first ran into Zhaotang, former head of Yuanta Securities Investment Trust, and greeted him. We had crossed paths at the company before but never had a proper chat. Zhaotang, who grew alongside the Taiwan 50 ETF (0050), is truly a key driver in Taiwan's ETF development.
