Travel note: This is Warren Buffett’s favorite steakhouse in the US—his charity lunches were held at the American branch. So even at the Taiwan location, reservations are very hard to get. Today is Tuesday, so we arrived early at 5:30 PM. After visiting Saffron Indian cuisine on the 46F and Ce La Vi bar on the 48F of the Star Tower in Xinyi District’s Breeze Nanshan, I’ve now completed the 47F restaurant too. After being seated by the window, I ordered Buffett’s preferred New York strip steak, paired with an Australian and an Argentine red wine. The per-person cost was around 5,000 TWD. The dry-aged beef indeed offers richer flavor and texture compared to wet-aged.
