Travel notes: Evening gathering with several old university classmates from NCKU Industrial Management Class of '91, including Junhong, Zhihong, and Changyu whom I hadn't seen in over eight years. Remembering it had been a while since I last enjoyed the Taipei 101 night view, we chose Xin Pu Yuan on the 46th floor of Breeze Nanshan for this meetup. The restaurant specializes in Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine, so we pre-ordered a Peking duck served two ways—sliced skin and minced duck meat. We also ordered other dishes like salted pork and bamboo shoot soup, xiaolongbao, braised beef, and truffle egg white fried rice. Work hasn't changed much for my classmates—they're still at TSMC, the Ministry of Science and Technology, etc., while Changyu is planning further studies to continue his slash career. Chatting with Changyu brought back memories of nearly 20 years ago when we, along with Taka and Kaixiang, were all doing our alternative military service in Hsinchu and hanging out together.
