Travel note summary: In the morning, first took Tiffany, who returned from Hong Kong for the New Year, to visit Andrew at Contibit in Shilin. Then at noon, took Tiffany to have lunch with Pat and Sam so they could get to know each other. After the meal, we all had afternoon tea and chatted at Chun Shui Tang in the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi in Tianmu. Then back in the city, taking a short break, went to Jut Art Museum where the current exhibition is 'Perceptual Field,' combining architecture and art. It was closed last time I came, so this time I bought a ticket to view the exhibition. Finally, in the evening, went to a sushi restaurant in the East District to celebrate Sam's birthday. Another gathering where I tried hard to listen to English—Joe teaches CS at Princeton, previously at Binance; Peter now does Compliance at Bitfinex; both are American. Sihan and his wife are Singaporean; DBS is merging with Citibank Taiwan, so they were dispatched to Taiwan. They brought two 1800cc bottles of Daiginjo.
