Travel notes: Fan is a high-end yakiniku restaurant opened in Taiwan in collaboration with Yoroniku, Tokyo's No.1 ranked yakiniku place. Good friend Sam just returned from the US last night, and we gathered here for dinner tonight. Besides being a lab director at UIUC, Sam is also a co-founder of KulaDAO, which tokenizes real-world assets (RWA) in Africa. We ordered a double set menu ($6,500+10%), some extra meats, and a bottle of Fan's exclusive Junmai Daiginjo sake 'En' ($2,680*1.1). The staff grill for you, so we could chat easily. The Wagyu from different parts had evenly distributed marbling, tender texture with a lovely aroma. The impression from this meal was really good, and we were very full. Thanks to Sam for treating!
