At an old coffee shop on Dunhua South Road in Taipei: after browsing Syntrend with my old classmates, we split up, and just as I was heading to a comic book store alone, I got a message from Brother Zhengliang asking if I wanted to meet up for tea and a chat since it’d been so long. A chance encounter beats a formal invitation—and he lives nearby anyway—so I grabbed a cab over to Dunhua Sogo. He’s still at Prudential and recently got his international financial planner certification; we caught up on how things have been, and it really had been ages since we last met. Heh.
