In the afternoon, Yishan invited me to the opening of a solo exhibition by her favorite Swiss painter, Thierry Feuz. The painter himself flew to Taiwan to explain his works at the gallery. One large painting themed on Yushan (Jade Mountain) was particularly eye-catching. Taiwan is small—I also ran into Jessica, whom I hadn't seen in a while. Yishan also invited her good friend from her luxury industry days, Ashley, and we all got introduced. When leaving, Becky, a gallery staff member, suddenly said I looked familiar and asked if she'd seen me at an art fair. Indeed, over the past two or three years, I've been attending more exhibitions like these, though mostly just browsing casually. If you really saw and remembered me, that's pretty amazing! Afterward, had a simple dinner with Yishan and Ashley, then strolled through Tonghua Street Night Market before parting ways.
