Travel Notes Summary: Taipei Xinsheng North Road – Jiang Bistro & Thai Cuisine. After having traveled to many places around the world and met a certain number of people, it seems easy to quickly find common ground with new friends. Last night, Calvin and Jamy, founders of Love Apartment, along with their classmate and CFO Aaron, invited me and senior Pat for dinner. I also invited senior Lman, Mars, and Ernie to join. Seeing many Thai dishes served at first, but feeling something was missing, I suggested Aaron order some white wine. Sure enough, after a few glasses, the atmosphere warmed up. Jamy happened to have an NTU EMBA classmate who also loves red and white wine, so we started the conversation from there – from food and wine, we chatted all the way to our shared experience of horseback riding in the Mongolian desert. With Calvin, we talked about Love Apartment's expansion into mainland China; turns out we overlapped, sharing memories of living in Shanghai.
