Location: First visit to Star Cellar Wagyu Restaurant, Taipei
Travel note: A private venue with over 200 million NTD worth of wine collection. Besides being a cellar, the basement serves delicious meals—truffle foie gras and beautifully marbled Australian Wagyu beef. A very special place. Had dinner here with elders today and met Cristopher, a Chemistry PhD from Costa Rica who teaches at a university there and has published many papers. Though our fields differ, chatting with him in broken English was quite fun. Plus a bottle of Balvenie 15-year whisky and an award-winning New Zealand red wine... A pleasantly tipsy evening.
