Travel note: After finishing work at noon in Taipei's East District at ABV Caribbean Bar & Kitchen, I was about to head back to Taichung. Then I suddenly saw my junior Annie, whom I hadn't met in a long time, and she happened to be free, so we arranged a small get-together. The Brazilian unicorn company she works for specializes in providing cross-border payment solutions for Latin America and is currently applying for a US listing. Their latest pre-IPO funding round raised over $400 million. I learned a bit from her about Brazil's national payment system Pix, Argentina's cash-settlement dollar exchange rate (CCL), and their cross-border collection solutions for Asian e-commerce, gaming, and live-streaming businesses dealing with Latin American clients.
