Location: Taipei, East District, Casanova Italian Restaurant
Travel note: Worked until past 3 AM yesterday and skipped dinner. Ordered takeout for lunch today, paired with a 14.5% Napa red wine. Due to recent climate warming, the alcohol percentage in red wines keeps getting higher. @@ After a sauna in the afternoon, Jimmy came up from the south for dinner. We went to his friend's restaurant and met Micky, a former Ogilvy executive who has lived in 7 countries, and his female friend. The owner came by later; the chef and her husband are French. With Jimmy around, he quickly befriended the Japanese group at the next table, switching between Japanese, English, and Chinese. Later, Jimmy's friend, Brother Jiang, a retired gold-record producer who is financially free, brought over a bottle of Rémy Martin VSOP cognac. A joyful night at Casanova. Thanks to the owner for treating us to a round of shots later. We then moved on to Yanji Street - Chuan Chuan Er for spicy hot pot. Thanks, Brother Jiang, for the treat. Cheers~ By Morgan @2024.5.14 evening
