Travel note summary: In the afternoon, Lman-senpai introduced a friend Jx to me, and I also invited Pat and Sam to chat together. Jx is Singaporean, his wife is from Tainan, and he's definitely a genuine genius—studied at Ivy League schools like the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford for university and grad school, then worked at many large companies in China and the US, like Dropbox, Lyft, ByteDance... In recent years, he returned to Singapore and co-founded the robo-advisor platform Endowus with friends. Riding the pandemic wave, the assets under management exceeded $2 billion AUM in a very short time. Jx recently has new ideas and projects he wants to work on, so we all exchanged thoughts. After the afternoon schedule, in the evening, I went with two girls who each have different relationship troubles to the 40-year-old shop near my place—Little Red Berry—to eat hot pot. After the three of us finished eating, we went to the nearby Thai-style izakaya, brought the two bottles of wine gifted by Xiao Guai, and continued drinking and heart-to-heart talking.
