Travel note: Taipei, Songshan District, Bar igloo. Quite a few friends from the art circle invited me out this week. Brother Hong from Dahe Art introduced me to his daughter Ella, several Korean collectors, and artists from Hong Kong and Canada. We all drank soju and sang karaoke together—thanks for the invite, Brother Hong. (Dahe Art's booth at Taipei Dangdai this year is C10; friends interested are welcome to visit over the weekend~) Also tonight, Brother Shihong, an artist I met earlier at a Pernod Ricard tasting, invited me to this newly opened bar he helped design. Along with Brother Otto and a few friends from the drinks circle, plus shareholders of this bar, we all had a few drinks together. Listening to Brother Otto (founder of the Cangjiu Forum) share a lot of whisky knowledge was very rewarding. After we parted ways, passing by Raohe Street Night Market, I suddenly saw a girl I know at a stall run by a German boss. Meeting by chance is fate, so I sat down and continued drinking German and Austrian beer with her. Cheers everyday ~ @@ By Morgan @2025.5.9 evening
