Travel notes: My old friend Taka, now the chairman of the Taiwan Blockchain Enthusiasts Association, leased a new incubation base from the Taipei City Government, which just opened late last year. So after leaving Tianlong Bookstore in the afternoon, I dropped by for a visit. Taka showed me a BTM machine, similar to an ATM, where you can buy digital currency directly with fiat, and a vending machine that accepts cryptocurrency for drinks. We also chatted with Ted, the boss of Manyuan Technology, which makes GPU mining rigs, about all sorts of fun crypto topics—exchanges, tax avoidance, trading, mining, hash rate... and the recent轮流井喷 (rotating surge)行情 of various cryptocurrencies, plus their upcoming blockchain café in Kaohsiung.
