Travel notes: I came here for drinks with a new friend, Ah No, from the traditional chemical industry. Due to the pandemic, there were almost no Japanese customers, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We kept ordering whiskies to support the mama-san. Mama-san Ji once visited Ishigaki Island and even went to the home of the 'soul songstress' Rimi Natsukawa. Her Japanese songs were deeply moving.
