Travel Notes

Location: Taipei Le Fei Niu Charcoal Grill & Jiang Tai Lang Japanese BBQ Travel note summary: Even though I know eating too much BBQ isn't good for health, doing it occasionally to satisfy a craving should be fine, right? The first place, Le Fei Niu, was where Boss Loco treated Ali, Ale, and me to dinner after his first lecture in late August last year. Le Fei Niu is near Taipei Main Station, with weekday dinners and holidays priced at NT$359+10%. The second place was treated by Ale, as we used to take turns treating each other during our regular Friday night gatherings—often going to fishing ponds in Waishuangxi or charcoal grill seafood shops on Jilin Road. That time, we went to this BBQ spot for a late-night meal since it's open until 3 a.m. Jiang Tai Lang is slightly more expensive, at NT$439+10% for weekday dinners and holidays, but it has Häagen-Dazs and Meiji ice cream, making it feel much more appealing than the previous place :P. Both are all-you-can-eat BBQ and also include a hot pot, though BBQ joint hot pots usually don't get much attention @@a. While the meat quality at all-you-can-eat BBQ spots can't compare to à la carte places, they definitely let you eat to you…
