Travel note: Came here after finishing work tonight and met 71-year-old Brother Yan. He's been in the F&B and wine industry for 45 years, having run French, Spanish, and Italian restaurants. We barely started talking, and without ordering or paying for any drinks, Brother Yan first poured me 6 glasses to try—4 whites and 2 reds. Later, a sales rep from a wine supplier came over and offered whisky for Brother Yan to sample. He seems to know many wine suppliers in Taipei. Originally scheduled to close at 22:30, Brother Yan and I ended up drinking and chatting happily until past 7 a.m. Cheers! By Morgan @2026.3.4 night
